Will a good cop be able to make the right choice ... when it involves the forbidden love of a criminal?
When Hank starts sweating uncontrollably and feeling tingles throughout his body after coming up against an alpha the whole police force has been hunting, he can't deny that his omega hormones are betraying him.
He's a good cop, but his secret desire for the alpha is almost overwhelming. During an interrogation, he's terrified that everyone in the room can see how he's being affected by the man in handcuffs. That the alpha is flirting with him ... and that Hank likes it.
Jason was roughed up when the cops arrested him. What they don't know is he was there to stop one of the crimes in a string they think he committed. But Jason's not going to give them the satisfaction of a straight answer because he can't stand cops.
Until he sees Hank, that is.
Jason starts out toying with Hank during the interrogation, but eventually, he can't deny his feelings. He's a cop hater, and he's falling in love with his enemy.
At only 39k words this was a fast and fun read. The blurb basically gives away the beginning of the book.
Jason is an ex-con trying to stay on the straight and narrow, but he gets caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. He gets taken in by the cops, one of which is Hank, and realizes he's found an omega in some serious heat. I'm not talking legal heat either! During the interrogation he begins to flirt with Hank while pretty much ignoring the other two cops. Once Jason gives up his info on the perps the cops were really looking for they let him go. Now Hank has no way of finding Jason except he knows Jason has a leather kink. Hank figures out where to find Jason and in a night of wild, kinky sex they begin their bond. Hank winds up pregnant and Jason moves in with him. They learn that it's not all pretty roses when forging a new relationship with the love of your life. They make it work and come to realize that they love each other more and more with each passing day.
The story moves really fast after this point and I do wish the author had spent a little more time building their relationship. Also, I would've liked to have had closure when Jason gets threatened by one of his former criminal friends. It was never brought back into the story after it happened.
We do get to visit with the other alphas, omegas, and all the cute kids and babies from the first 2 Portville books. We also meet new people who will be in some of the future books too!
I give His Hardest Choice 4 cups of tea.

Return to MacIntosh Meadows one final time and spend a little time with the MacIntosh clan. Filled with pushy grannies, multiple pregnancies, cute babies, and kids being kids-this book will hit you in the feels and leave you smiling.
Overall I give this series 4 cups of tea.
I enjoyed reading this series so much. I loved the way the families and the entire town banded together to protect each other. When dangerous people came to town to do harm they rose up as one and did what had to be done to keep everyone safe from harm.
We meet the MacIntosh clan in book 1. Dean is the youngest of the MacIntosh men and he works on the farm owned by Laurie's grandpa. When Laurie returns to the farm with his 3 kids after the death of his husband, his mother-in-law shows up soon after demanding that Laurie give her full custody of the kids. Since Laurie's an un-wed omega with no means of supporting his kids Dean offers to marry him to help him retain custody. It was supposed to be a fake marriage, but somewhere along the way they fell in love. Little did they know that thanks to their meddling family it was a real marriage after all. I really liked that one of Laurie's boys is deaf and it was fun to read about how he feels the vibrations of the world around him. What I found lacking was the chemistry between Dean and Laurie. There was an emotional connection but I never felt the true passion that comes with falling in love. However, I've never had a book make me crave an ice cream sundae quite as much as this one did!
Book 2 was my favorite of the 3! Kade MacIntosh is a sassy, feisty, little omega who loves to dance. He's the middle MacIntosh brother. He ends up pregnant after a one-bathroom stand with an alpha at a bar. He learns the identity of his baby daddy when Alec Santiago shows up at Kade's dance studio to pick up his daughter. What follows is one mishap after another that eventually leads to Kade living in Alec's guest room. But not for long as Kade's hormonal pregnancy horniness and their strong attraction to each other leads them into the bedroom where they have some passionate nights and also some hot kinky sex! The chemistry between them almost melted my Kindle! I liked the maturity that both Alec and Kade showed when they were forced to address the skeletons in their closets. We do catch up with the rest of the clan in this book and I have to say the dance floor scene at the wedding made me giggle-snort. I'll never be able to dance at a wedding again without thinking of that scene!
In book 3 we meet self-proclaimed manwhore Zeke MacIntosh. According to Dusty he's also an alphahole too! Zeke's the oldest of the brothers and the least likely to find love because that would mean having sex with the same person more than once. While Dusty has gone through some tough times in his life he's an omega with a stick up his butt. This was my least favorite of the 3 books because our MC's went from absolutely hating each other to falling in love with the turn of a page. It happened so fast that I felt like I got whiplash from it. I never felt any connection or intimacy between them. Their first kiss and first time they had sex was not to my liking. Their relationship never felt authentic to me. It felt rushed and I would've liked more private, intimate moments between them and less time spent with the rest of the family. My favorite part of this book was the way Natty "said" hello the first time he met his dad. It made me laugh and gag at the same time. I also enjoyed the part when Dusty left Zeke and Natty alone in an explosive situation.
If you love big, crazy, protective families with cute kids and adorable babies then I recommend taking the time to sit down and enjoy these 3 stories set in MacIntosh Meadows!
Hi! I'm Kenna! I began reading at the age of 3 and mastered it by the time I was 7. I read my first romance when I was 12 and I was instantly addicted. I found the mm and mpreg genre a few years ago and I haven't read anything else since. Things that bring me the most happiness in life are thunderstorms, rainbows, chocolate, painting, making jewelry, my furrbabies, and of course reading. I've been a fast food drive-thru guru, retail manager, teacher for kids with severe autism, life skills coach, and a companion for disabled kids. While I don't have kids of my own I do have a small zoo of furrbabies who drive me crazy. I'm a voracious reader of everything MM, especially Mpreg. I can never get enough of it. My favorites are the paranormal stories. While I'm not a writer at this time I hope to someday sit down and write the books that the voices in my head are clamoring to be set free in. In the meantime I'll write reviews and do video reviews for authors who listen to the voices in their own heads and give us those stories for us to read.
