Rider Jones is almost thirty and recently dumped by his cheating ex. He’s an omega, and if you don’t have an alpha and a baby on the way at his age, your odds of ever finding domestic bliss are slim. He decides his only option is a matchmaker.
Jax Hamilton has grieved the loss of his college love for twenty-years. No one will ever replace what he had with Thomas, and he doesn’t even want to try. Unfortunately, the family name will die with him if he doesn’t produce and heir. He’s stalled as long as he can, but he’s forty-five and time is running out. He too decides his only choice is to use a matchmaker, so he can find a mate who understands this is purely a business arrangement.
When Rider and Jax meet, there’s undeniable chemistry between them. Jax is drawn to Rider and he pursues him, hoping the sexy omega will agree to his offer of an arranged marriage. While Rider is attracted to Jax, he’s not sure if he’s built for a loveless marriage.
Eventually Rider gives in. After all, the chance of having a family of his own is too tempting to pass up. He’s running out of options.
Once the two men are living in the same household, their attraction grows. Rider is confused by his need to connect to his new alpha, but Jax is still trying to keep him at arm’s length. Even though Jax is insisting the marriage is only a business deal, he can’t deny he’s feeling things for Rider he hasn’t felt for anyone in decades.
When Rider gets pregnant, things become even more confused as need and raw emotions run wild.

I am quite familiar with Beau Brown. I'm on his ARC team. I didn't manage to read this one in time since it was during the holidays even with the extra time he gave because I forgot after the relatives left, oops! I've liked all of books, if you haven't read him yet, give him a try!
I happen to adore the theme of arranged/fake relationships evolving into loving, real relationships. How can you not?
Rider is desperate. He put his money on the wrong alpha and now he's running out of time to find a mate and have a family.
Jax is also desperate. He lost the love of his life 20 years ago and he's going to make sure Thomas stays the love of his life by never loving again. (Never mind that he hasn't been living in the 20 years since his death).
Desperate times call for desperate measures: a matchmaker. Neither is what the other expects. The attraction is immediate. Jax doesn't know if he likes that Rider isn't a submissive, pushover that challenges him. Rider doesn't know if he can commit himself to a relationship that will never turn into love, especially considering how Jax already makes him feel.
Both take the chance. It's awkward at first because they're strangers, plus they are fighting their instincts. Jax wants to view Rider as the bearer of his children and that's it but it's not that simple. He is his omega and Jax's alpha instincts know that. Rider tries to tell himself not to fall for Jax but it isn't easy.
They forget themselves, letting themselves fall into their emotions but then pull back. The conflicts come when they pull back.
I was with them all the way. I loved the push-pull of their relationship. As much as I want all fluff, all the time, and yes, sweet gay kisses. I realize there needs to be some, *sigh*, conflict. Their relationship developed at a great pace. It felt natural. Watching them fall in love was awesome. And the sweet gay kisses are always appreciated. The hot, sexy kisses are even more appreciated! Rider and Jax have great chemistry together.
FYI Jax's assistant is a bitch.
This a great read! I definitely recommend.
