I confess I am way, WAY late on writing this review. I read this book months ago. However, between life and my health, it didn't get written. The brain fog I'd been having for probably two months finally lifted last week, yay! Time to get some reviews done. Better late than never, right? Onto the review.
As readers, we've always wondered, what happens after the book ends? This book addresses that question of what happens after Breakable Faith. Mateo and Lance got a happy ending but there was enough left unsaid for another story. Renewed Faith is that story. Mateo struggles a lot emotionally, dealing with the aftermath of his attack from the previous book. Lance's struggle is of balance. He lets his alpha instincts take control and they lead him away from his faith and the church.
I enjoyed Renewed Faith. Mateo and Lance are great characters. I love that I got to see the after, the what happens next. Them having a family!! It was what I expected and want in a what happens next kind of book. It was more of an internal struggle for each character to adapt and cope. Their lives and who they are changed. Change isn't easy or painless. Mateo and Lance find that out but in the end, they get through it together.
The two books are perfect to read right after each other and I know I'll be reading them in the future. Imagining what happens next is all well and good but it is nice to read what happens from the author's perspective too.
