As an older dragon, Nyve's been waiting years for his fated mate. He just didn't think he'd be so... young. Austin is the breath of fresh air the alpha dragon needs, but Nyve can't help but worry about the age gap.
Austin feels stifled by his overprotective aunt, who took him in after his mother died mysteriously. As a half dragon, half wolf shifter, he's never felt like he's fit into either world. But he misses his mom—and meets his fated mate when getting a tattoo to remember her.
As Austin strives for independence while also learning to accept his mate, the guys at Treasured Ink learn more about a mysterious organization with a sinister motive attacking mythical shifters.
And it seems like Austin's distant father might be involved.
It's up to the dragons to get to the bottom of this—before someone they love gets hurt. And in the midst of it all, Nyve struggles to give his young mate the space he needs, while controlling his fear that he'll lose the one thing he's been waiting his whole life for.
Alpha Dragon: Nyve is the second in a steamy new mpreg romance series centered around alpha dragons who love ink and getting inked. Each couple gets a HEA, but the books are best enjoyed in order. Warning: this book is so hot it’ll scorch your pants off!
Rating: 4 cups of tea
This is the second book in the Treasured Ink series and it brings us Nyve and Austin. Nyve is older than Austin, and I feel set in his ways. When he finds out about Austin he wants to be with him, but then again he doesn't want to be with him. There are times I wanted to punch both of them, but they finally do pull their heads out of their asses.
Then we have Austin who you would think was a preteen instead of a grown ass man with the way his aunt protects him. It's like seriously, he needs to go to drastic measures to basically have a life and not have his aunt breathing down his neck. I will say he does have a cool best friend who will help him deceive said aunt.
Then don't get me started on the muggings, there was a twist thrown in there that I didn't even see coming, and I don't care who dad it is, he needs to go down.
All in all, it was a great read, and it ties things together from the first book. Warning, you need to read the books in order to get the feel for everything and so that you aren't lost as you read along.
Next review in the series coming soon.
Hi, my name is Vanessa. To be honest I never truly know what to say for these things, is it too much or is it too little. Full disclosure here.
